Real Talk-The Ups And Downs Of Blogging

Today, I am being real.  Today, I am being authentic and talking about the stress of blogging in a writing challenge. Today, I am writing about digging deep and the ups and downs of blogging.

I love to write.  It gives me great joy.  But, no matter what activity gives you joy, when it becomes something you must do, have to do, and not something you want to do, that activity can become a dread, a burden.

Real Talk-The Ups And Downs Of Blogging

This is the second year I have participated in the #write31days writing challenge. You have to write and publish a blog post everyday for 31 days.  The month of October.

Pumpkin Patches And Why You Should Visit

Pumpkin patches are a fun activity in the fall. Picking your own pumpkin at a pumpkin patch, no matter your age, gets you in the fall spirit. If the pumpkin patch is a charity, that fall spirit can be doubled.

Visiting a pumpkin patch is a visual treat.  The rows and rows of orange orbs is a delight for any eyes. It is a lot more fun to buy your pumpkins at a pumpkin patch and not in a pile at the grocery store.

As Summer Folds Into Fall-Texas Falls into Autumn

There is a mixture of summer and fall today. As one season folds into the next, blending the best of both seasons and creating this golden, colorful fall day.

Yes, Fall is in the air this morning. She came to Texas a few days ago and I am welcoming this long, lost friend. Fall only comes for short visits in Texas, and most years, is the last guest to sit at the table. Some years, fall misses Thanksgiving dinner altogether and skips right into the Christmas season. Rude.

Not today, today is a fall day in Texas.

Remembering Memories Of Halloween Past

Memories of Halloween past and Halloweens gone by, consist of family, friends and lots of kids.  Halloween is a fun and safe holiday for the kids, especially when parents are involved.

We raised our kids in a small town, twenty minutes outside of Waco.  Our kids were friends with our friend’s kids.  Or was it visa-versa?  Doesn’t matter because there was always fun to be had for the grownups, as well as the children.

Memories of Halloween past make me smile.
